Data are processed to conduct the study “Ethical Preferences in the use of Machine Learning (ML) for Medical Triage Decisions”. Canvas fingerprints are recorded and stored for the duration of the data collection to prevent participants from answering more than once. IP addresses are recorded and stored for the duration of the survey to determine the current country of residence.
The legal basis for data processing is your consent to the processing of special categories of personal data (health data and data revealing religious or philosophical beliefs) according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and without reason. The withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
All data containing information about your responses to the survey will be stored, including your chosen patients to treat, fairness ratings, and information about gender, age, religion, health, and family planning. Additional health information, canvas fingerprints (screen resolution, timezone, operating system and device type, browser version, installed plugins and fonts, cookies, user agent string, hardware properties, mouse and keyboard input), and IP addresses are temporarily stored until data collection is complete.
